General Questions

Booking, payment, preparation, and getting started

How do I book a session?
You can book online from the Sessions page, or reach me directly by email (sheila@rowan-wellness.com) or phone (843-860-1627) if you have questions or want help choosing where to start.
Which session should I start with?
Most people begin with Finding Your Medicine, the core one-on-one session, or with The Terrain Session if you want to map the patterns running beneath the surface before going deeper. If you want to go further than conversation can reach, the Higher Self Journey is a guided online journey to your own deeper knowing. When you’re ready for the full deep dive, that’s QHHT. And Sacred Circle is group work in good company. Not sure? Reach out and I’ll help you choose. Curious why the same practice can land differently on different days? Read The Map.
Are sessions online or in person?
In person (Waxhaw, NC, near Charlotte): QHHT.
Online or in person: Finding Your Medicine.
Online via Zoom: The Terrain Session, the Higher Self Journey, and Sacred Circle.

Group circles are held online via Zoom with replay access.
What are your payment options?
I accept credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, cash, and checks. For QHHT and larger packages, payment plans may be available — just ask. I also offer a 5% discount for cash or check; email me before booking to arrange it.
What’s your cancellation policy?
48+ hours’ notice: full refund (minus a small processing fee) or reschedule once.
Less than 48 hours: the session fee is forfeited.
Late arrivals: appointments starting more than 15 minutes late may be cancelled without refund, so the day stays unhurried for everyone.

Running late? Please text right away: 843-860-1627.
How should I prepare for my first session?
  • Get a good night’s sleep
  • Stay hydrated in the days leading up
  • Wear comfortable clothing
  • Eat a light meal beforehand — don’t arrive hungry or overly full
  • Come with an open mind and heart
Session-specific instructions come in your confirmation email, and QHHT prep is covered in its own section below.
Where are in-person sessions held?
At my quiet 18-acre sanctuary in Waxhaw, NC (near Charlotte). The exact address is in your confirmation and reminder emails. The drive itself — leaving the noise behind for a stretch of nature — is part of the experience.
Why do meditation and breathwork help some days and not others?
This is one of the most common things I hear, and the answer is in your nervous system state. The same practice that settles you one day can stir you up the next — not because the practice is broken, but because your system needed something different in that moment. Read The Map to understand why, and what tends to help in each state.

About the Work

Breath, somatic work, and energy work within your sessions

What is breathwork, and what is it like?
Breathwork uses conscious, connected breathing to move you out of your thinking mind and into your body, where a lot of what runs us actually lives. It’s often part of a session rather than a standalone booking. You may notice emotional release, body sensations (tingling, warmth, energy moving), imagery, or deep relaxation. It supports nervous system regulation and builds capacity to stay with intensity. Why breathwork lands differently on different days.
What is energy work?
I work intuitively with your energy field, drawing on Reiki, sound (Tibetan bowls, tuning forks), stone medicine, and shamanic practice, depending on what the moment asks for. It’s woven into the one-on-one work rather than sold as a separate service. People often describe warmth, tingling, emotional release, or a settled kind of peace. This is supportive, non-medical work for relaxation and self-exploration, not treatment for any condition.
Is this work safe for everyone?
For most people, yes. Breathwork in particular may not be suitable during pregnancy, or with certain cardiovascular or respiratory conditions, epilepsy, recent surgery, acute medical conditions, or serious mental-health conditions such as active psychosis. If you have any health concern, please check with your physician first, and reach out with questions. This work complements professional care; it doesn’t replace it.

QHHT Questions

Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique® sessions

Can everyone be hypnotized?
Yes. This is a natural brainwave state (theta) you already pass through twice a day — just before sleep and just before waking. QHHT simply helps you enter it with awareness and intention. You stay aware and in control throughout.
What if I don’t believe in past lives?
That’s completely fine. If past lives don’t resonate, people often experience meaningful scenes from this life, symbolic journeys, or other forms of insight relevant to what they came to explore. The process works regardless of your belief system.
How long is a QHHT session?
Plan for a full day — sessions typically run about 4–5 hours. You’re the only client I see that day, so we’re never watching the clock. We usually begin in the morning unless we arrange otherwise.
How many questions can I bring?
As many as you like — I’ve worked through several typed pages with clients. Since you’re the only session of the day, there’s time. It helps to put your most important questions first; I’ll reorder as the session flows.
Will I remember my session?
Most people remember parts; the depth varies. That’s why the session is recorded — you receive a complete MP3 to revisit as often as you like. Many people notice new insights with each listen, even years later.
How do I prepare for QHHT?
Before:
  • Write a list of questions (keep adding as they arise)
  • Email a copy of your state-issued ID to sheila@rowan-wellness.com
  • Get a full night’s sleep and stay well-hydrated
  • Let go of rigid expectations and bring your curiosity
Day of:
  • Check your email that morning for the entry code and my cell number
  • Wear comfortable, loose clothing (you’ll be reclining for hours)
  • Eat a substantial breakfast
  • Bring anything comforting — blanket, pillow, crystals
A full preparation guide comes with booking.
Can QHHT treat or cure a physical condition?
No. QHHT is not medical care and makes no promise to diagnose, treat, or cure any physical condition. It’s an experience of deep relaxation and self-exploration. Some people describe feeling lighter or noticing shifts afterward, but those experiences vary and aren’t guaranteed. Always consult your physician about any health concern, and treat this work as a complement to — never a replacement for — the care of a licensed provider.
Who should not book QHHT?
QHHT is not appropriate for individuals with schizophrenia, active psychosis, severe bipolar disorder (when not stabilized), or dissociative disorders. If you’re experiencing hallucinations, delusions, or difficulty maintaining contact with reality, please work with a licensed mental-health professional instead. If you have any diagnosed mental-health condition, consult your treating physician before booking. Please don’t book while under the influence of substances or alcohol. Contact me with any questions about whether QHHT is right for you.

Sacred Circle

Themed group journeys, online

What is Sacred Circle?
A themed group journey — guided hypnosis and journeying, breath, somatic practice, and a closing ritual, in good company. It’s held online via Zoom, the replay is included, and it’s drop-in at $45 per circle with no subscription required. See the schedule.
What if I can’t attend live?
Every circle is recorded and the replay is included, so you can take part on your own schedule. Many people use the replay as their main way in.
